SUSTAIN YOUR ENERGY

WELCOME IN THE WORKSHOP!

Lots of work with tight deadlines? High expectations that can sometimes feel overwhelming? The pressure to perform can be intense. A deep sigh and ‘let’s get on with it’ won’t get you far when work pressure structurally disrupts your work-life balance. Work pressure can negatively impact not only your well-being but also the quality of your work and productivity.

This training aims to help us better understand and manage work pressure, so we can improve performance while also disconnecting. You will gain insights into the causes and effects of work pressure, and learn effective strategies and techniques to better cope with it.

To tailor this workshop to your expectations as much as possible, we kindly ask you to answer 5 short questions. See you soon!

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT...

WHY DON’T WE TAKE RECOVERY AND RELAXATION AS SERIOUSLY AS PRODUCTIVITY?

We train ourselves to be more productive, to manage our time better or to concentrate more, but not to rest better. Why?

We are bombarded with ‘productivity hacks’: from the Pomodoro technique to tips on how to optimize our desks. Things that are meant to help us work more efficiently.

However, it’s just as important to think about ‘disconnection hacks.’ They are equally crucial.

What’s important to know here: truly disconnecting from work requires more than just closing your laptop. Especially if you’ve had a bad day or more stress than you’d like, it becomes even more essential to actively focus on ‘recovery.’

Many people think that as soon as they finish their workday, relaxation and unwinding will happen automatically. You might already see this coming, but: that’s not the case.

Be intentional about how you spend your evening or weekend and ask yourself: does this activity or experience help me recover after a tough workday (or a hectic week)?

Everyone is different, so I won’t dictate what you should or shouldn’t do. But by reflecting on this and challenging yourself, hopefully, you’ll find better ways to unwind and recharge for the next workday.

This will not only make you healthier, but also happier and more productive in the long run. Now, that’s a lifehack… See you at the training for more insights like this!”
